Trisa @ 9 Months

When you get to be as old as I am ( 9 mos. old) you tend to be more introspective

Want a better view? quarter turn to the right

But my papa says I have close to two thousand different kinds of smile ( eat your heart out Meg Ryan). Want me to show you?

Start the countdown...

The Oh-my-god, you-are-the-best-toy-in-the-world smile

Simba the Lion King smile...are you counting? that's two

Too many toys, too little time Smile

Ver Kilig for Mama only smile

The "Gee I am not so sure I should" smile

I ver Iwwesistible smile

The Chutie pie " You feel I ver pretty smile

The Oh my I tho ver surprised and pleased smile

Liz Taylor at 9 mos..,

Ava Gardner's reluctant smile

I can smile with just my eyes

Massage is hardwork but somebody's got to do it

I am leaving...not on a jet plane but in a suitcase, no money eh!

This isn't a smile you...you...you...never mind!

Over a bottle of..er milk, share with me your troubles and I'll see how I can help you

I don't weally comb my hair, but I think I still look fabulous

The World According to my daughter Trisa

Before everything else... how about a smile?

Allow me to share with you my ideas on the world

Its a happy place with lotsa flashbulbs

The world is not flat, it is upside down...

Hide and Seek is one of life's pure joys and the primary
reason why this world was created

I ver thad, Mama and Papa have to work...Again?!!

Certain portions of the earth's surface are soft and uneven
and make so-so beds

They say I smile like my Mama... I dinna know
that, I kinda thought I am 100% Owiginal

A change in position, changes the global outlook...
I coulda, shoulda, weach my toes

My Ma & Pa impwess me no end...
they are my world

I slept through it all...all nine months, plus those
nine weird hours in the delivery room

Sometimes your beginnings might not be as glamorous
as your future or even pwesent

My "twin" sister Andy Umali ( we share exactly the same birthday)
she is the round-eyed, wide-eyed, pleasantly plump beauty. I am more the slim, sultry type. We both have too much appeal though

Sigh! The world is a truly crowded place. Too many huggy-kissy,
huggy-kissy, tiresome adult types!

The world is a Paradox...
I have small parents, wearing big, big smiles
my gloves are oversized ( Muhamad Ali size, methinks)
But I'm kinda small ( what did you expect?)
I've run out of pictures, but the captions kinda keep on...sigh
This is all for now!

Rivulets of Gray

By GS Arnedo
November 6, 2006

I watched upon the hilltop
amidst the evergreen of May
Bathed in the sun’s teardrop
Rolled the rivulets of gray

Beneath the sky’s azure brow
The golden pond glistened
And beckoned the rivulets to furrow,
To tarry, to frolick and to listen

As they plunged into the amber pond,
their fellowship they broke,
And roaring through tender ground
With ripples as their yoke

Dandelions

Dandelions

-by GS Arnedo
for English 14 1983

The unfelt breeze caresses the meadows
Of Dandelions in full bloom
Sweeping up like startled swallows
A hale of tufts, a shattered moon.

Each tiny tuft, is life on its own
A promise of beauty, of unparalleled delight
A wanderer, with destination unknown
To meander far, with nothing in sight

The tuft that falls on verdant land,
Shoots up in splendor, in majesty
To grace the fields amidst old hands,
Alive, awe-inspiring, an Entity

Mourn for the tuft that falls among weeds,
Unnoticed, unrealized, a promise unfulfilled,
For indeed, what is potential without deeds?
A priceless squander, Life unlived
